Details:
This is the long awaited debut album of one of Northeast Philly's premier song writers. "Another Awkward Moment" features songs which span a thirteen year period and showcase the diverse sounds and influences of John Mullin. With help from many of his friends, including members of his band "Big Bulky Blue Truck", the Irish trio "Celtic Connection" and Legendary Philly Rocker Kenn Kweder, John creates a new landscape for every track. Trademark songs which are notably missing from this collection are "The Eggnogs are White" and "Ode to Funk". The selections which have been included seem to follow a somewhat dark path, with an occasional glimpse of sunlight. The lyrics are extremely thought provoking and if your not careful, they could quite easily push you off the ledge. John's sarcastic sense of humor is prevalent through out and adds a nice edge to the every day "I love you, Baby, yeah yeah yeah" of many of the contemporary song of the day. All and all, a little rough around the edges, but an enjoyable journey none the less.
