This is Melanie Zhang's second album. Melanie Zhang has recorded hundreds of soundtracks for hit television series and films in China. She was the top female vocalist in China's "American Idol" inspired program, Starlight Boulevard, in 2007. The program was viewed by more than 300 million people worldwide. Melanie's new album includes a number of her popular songs recorded for television, in addition to classic theme songs for popular Chinese films. Although the songs are in Chinese, the traditional instrumentation accompanied by her pure, ethereal voice, paints a beautiful musical landscape that can be appreciated by everyone. The title song, "World Unparalled," is the theme song for the hit martial arts TV costume drama "Return of the Condo Heroes." Its ethereal sound inspires visions of exotic landscapes and romantic worlds that are both far away yet within our own hearts.
