This 23-year-old singer/songwriter is here to give you All The Acoustic Pop You Can Drink.

With the release of Josh Allan's debut full-length independent release, All The Acoustic Pop You Can Drink, he is hoping for some well-deserved recognition.

Recorded over a period of almost a year with SoulThink producer/engineer J. Benjamin Kesler in St. Louis, Missouri, All The Acoustic Pop You Can Drink would quite accurately be called a labor of love. The concept for the album was born with the idea of blending the stripped acoustic guitar sound of organic folk-pop songs with the strong melodies and groove of R&B - and it's safe to say they achieved their goal.

"It's just time," says Josh. "I think every artist has this desire to create something they can really be proud of, and after all the years of demos I feel like I've finally got that something." Something indeed - All The Acoustic Pop You Can Drink, recorded in the dining room of a one-bedroom apartment, has the sonic appeal of a major-label release without the pre-packaged pretentiousness.

Originally from the musical wonderland of South Dakota (just kidding about the "musical wonderland" part), Josh's insatiable passion for music has taken many different forms through the years, most recently expressed by being a Producer/DJ at Mix 100.3fm in Denver, Colorado. "No one will ever deny the power of radio in the trajectory of a musician's career, and I've had the amazing opportunity of seeing how it works from the inside out," Josh explains. "There is (expectedly) a ton of music that passes through the doors of a radio station. Some of it is fantastic - some of it, well, isn't. In any case, I've been exposed to the world of radio for a couple years now on the DJ side of the mic, but now I'm hoping that it's time to go back to the artist side and for the people behind the mic to start playing my music!"

Josh Allan calls his music genre acoustic pop (as you've probably deduced by now), characterized by passionate vocals and distinctive, precise guitar riffs. Josh Allan brings a refreshingly rustic, yet refined light to pop music. A comparison? "Take a little John Mayer, add a shot of Michelle Branch, an infusion of Nickel Creek, and a bit of Travis - and put it over some funky beats - that's what I sound like," Josh says.

Over the past couple years while writing and recording the album, Josh has found time to perform in small venues from Denver to Detroit to Boston, opened for national artists such as Sister Hazel and Aware Records (John Mayer, Five for Fighting, Train) artist Alice Peacock, and has been featured in a number of Denver radio interviews and programs. "But we've really been limited in what we can do with these stations because we haven't had the album ready!" Josh says. "Now that the album's done, the options are blown wide open."

It's All The Acoustic Pop You Can Drink, and you're gonna want a case.
