The last MOTU & The RoadHouse Jesters album won critical acclaim. Now, with the addtion of Carl Olsen on bass, and some road experience under their belts, this new live album shows even a greater chemistry in this group of very talented musicians. This live recording of the band was made on a hot NY Saturday Night ( June 28, 2008) at a SOLD OUT MOTU & The RoadHouse Jesters concert held at Port Jazz in downtown Port Jefferson, Long Island, NY. GoodTimes Magazine attended the SOLD OUT show and wrote this about the concert in their July 8,2008 Issue:
â Dr Richard (motu) was a fabulous slide guitarist, and he was complimented by various solos/rhythms from George Gashoniaâs hands. Carl Olsen had maybe one of the best bass sounds for a local blues band out there. Ed Modzel kept a clear-cut downbeat throughout each song. Rounding it all out was Dee Chettaâs voice; powerfully open, conquering delicate melodies, and dexterous vocal lines with soul. If one phrase had to explain it all, They were the best part of an Oreo cookie...even without milk. â
