"Josh and I had a lot of fun making this album, but when it came to naming it we were stumped. One of the tracks, 'Sarah' is actually one of the first songs that Josh ever wrote. When we were in JAR, it was called 'Dream', but Josh was continually revising it. Once he named it 'Sarah', the title stuck with the song for the next three or so renditions. But to me, the song was always the same: It was about a girl that we met at a summer program after sophomore year in high school. We had been introduced to Sarah, but other than that it was mostly hellos here and there. This was around the time that Josh was really getting into songwriting. So this Sarah was a real beauty, a little ballerina, and I guess she inspired Josh because he ended up working her into his songs. The thing is that Josh wasn't close to her; she was merely an acquaintance. But if you listen to 'Sarah' (any of the renditions, really), the lyrics tell a sensual and mysterious story about a boy and a girl. That's what songwriters do sometimes - they write stories. But 'Sarah' is special because it was constantly evolving; every time I heard it, it was a little different. Sometimes the lyrics changed, sometimes the music, sometimes even the mood. I realized the song seemed to adjust whenever Josh was experiencing something different in his life. It was like a living, breathing song that reflected what ever state of mind Josh was in at the time. So Sarah, who was just a girl we knew, eventually became an embodiment of mystery, love, life, all that good (and bad) stuff. So I suggested, 'Something for Sarah', and we liked it alright. It was kind of a tribute to that girl we met all those years ago, and the music she'd inspired, and everywhere that music took us, and anywhere we're going."
