BiOnIc LoVe SoUnDSySteM delivers dubwise breakbeats, global fusion, dancehall, dub & fresh genre-bending tunes to erase all sadness! BiOniC LoVe SoUnDsySteM founder Adrian Blackhurst produces music, dj's & organizes music events in Vancouver BC. He uses the almighty laptop and plays bass, guitar, synths, melodica, & various percussion. His second full length album "EthnosonicSUBfunk Theories" just released August 2008, an album exploring global beats/dub/dancehall/breakbeats & downtempo. He is one-fourth Beats Without Borders collective, a Vancouver crew making global dance parties since 2004. Music is a huuuuuge part of his life. His longest love affair! 2006 & 2007 he went off on a 16 month epic globetrotting journey which he composed half the album & landed him gigs on the beaches of Goa & Mumbai India, Amsterdam, Vienna, Salzburg & Krakow. B.L.S.S. is basically a one man band that has guest musicians & mcs, so each show is different. Whether traveling or back home B.L.S.S. is a mobile sound system & always recruiting music shamans to perform & make beautiful music together! Bliss out to some outernational stylee!

BiOnIc LoVe SoUnD SySteM has an obsession with BASS & a goal to pulse deep down dirty sub dub vibrations that pierce bodies & move feet & souls.

After playing in various bands: The Vibe Tribe, The 4th Kind, Yoko Phono, Alchemy, & Dojo....he went solo. Adrian is co-founder of Vancouver BC's Beats Without Borders collective (www.BeatsWithoutBorders.com) and DubTempo monthly events. Besides his 2 albums he has several unreleased remixes of artists such as Nickodemus, a De La Soul/Sean Paul remix "Out of Control", a Roots Manuva remix of "Witness the Fitness".

Adrian is currently working on compiling a cd, "Canada In Dub" of Canadian new dub artists such as Third Eye Tribe, Echo Pilot, Dubinhood, Calamalka, Helix Resonator, & BiOnIc LoVe SoUnDSySteM. This will be released on Select Cuts out of Germany. Stay tuned...

As for dj'ing, Adrian has been mainly focusing on Global Beats, Breaks, Dub, Reggae, Dubstep, Psy-Downtempo & Glitch-hop. He has dj'd at 100's of shows up & down the west coast & around the globe.

I can really relate to what Roots Manuva said regarding his fascination with and love of soundsystem culture : âItâs the bass thing. Itâs the whole organic thing. Back in those days the sound was probably built by a local carpenter. The whole communal aspect of a bunch of people getting together and doing whatever they have to do to build this sonic monstrosity. Itâs just the love that people get together and project into this one physical thing.â
