Joe Ferraro has been playin' and singin' the blues since the summer of love. A cofounder of The High Desert Blues Society and leader of The Fat City Blues Band, Joe has been performing in Southern California clubs his entire adult life. Notable venues include The Anahiem Convention Center, Buffalo Bill's Casino, BB King's Blues Club, Lake Alice Trading Co., The Crossroads, and Whiskey Creek.
Perfomances have included opening shows for The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers.
Recently completed and released, the band's first cd; "Skinny Village" is now available via this site. Joe has recorded 2 CDs with The Fat City Blues Band as well as appearing on recordings by Mo Grundy and Naughty Uncle Norman.
A blues fan since first hearing Paul Butterfield as a child, Joe's influences include popular artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter and Eric Clapton, but also include the varied styles of Hollywood Fats, Dr. John, Louis Jordan, and Robben Ford, just to name a few.
The Joe Ferraro Band is actively seeking bookings through out the west.
