Spiritual pop-rock that doesn't preach to the choir, recalling a more spontaneous, less calculated era of good-time rock.
10 MP3 Songs
POP: 70's Pop, ROCK: 70's Rock
Details:
Hi! Thanks for checking out my CD. I'll describe this music as free-spirited, blue collar, pop-rock with a lot of variety. I hope you will want to sing along. I think I captured some of the easy going feel of the late 60s to early 70s, without aiming to be nostalgic.
As far as the lyrics go, my Christian friends tell me it's uplifting. At the same time, I don't try to convert anybody, but I leave room for interpretation. A lot of it can just be about love, and makin' it through life, if that's how you want to hear it.
I grew up in a time when we heard it all -- from folk strummers to Hendrix distortion, from hippie protest songs to syrupy pop. If there was one idea that wove them all together, it seemed to be "we're all in this together." That is the higher purpose of entertainment, and that is why I hope Christians and others will get a charge out of this CD. Thanks again!
