Jermmel Galloway was born in North Carolina but raised in the comforts of Goodyear, Arizona a small town with a population of roughly 56,000. At the early age of three, he had a strong passion for singing and playing instruments which convinced his parents that he was a musically gifted child. He spent most of his adolescent years lending his voice to the school choir and talent shows. Following a
solo performance at a choir show , he received a standing ovation and the artist we would come to know and love as JayG was born.
Upon graduating from

High School, JayG decided to leave Goodyear and stretch his wings to a bigger arena where his voice can be heard and his dreams can be materialized.

Like many of our greats before him, he relocated to Los Angeles, California with little money and a potent desire to be heard. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2006, JayG is
establishing himself as a solid player in the R&B world as a young but edgy force to be reckon with.


His current single "Distracted" is heating up on YouTube with over 1.6 million hits and rising. He's currently a finalist at MTV's highly competitive "I Want My Music" showcase.

JayG's song "Distracted" can also be heard on Hot 92.3 website, where he is a new artist.


The contest received over ten thousand entries and has since been narrowed down to 6 contestants. JayG is
currently leading in votes and is favored to win it all.


The House of Blues which showcases the talent of elite R&B acts manager , Ric Underwood says " he hasn't seen a talent like JayG in a long time and the crowds keep requesting him."
