Jamie is a singer-songwriter who has lived in the Adirondacks, near Tupper Lake, for over 15 years. Jamie writes about nature, people, and the interplay between people and nature. Heâs written several entertaining songs about the Adirondackâs natural and cultural history, all containing memorable imagery and metaphors that reflect his passion for both. Jamie has also written numerous songs about the human condition and, along the way, has done his share to help âfill the world with silly love songs.â Many of his songs borrow their essence from folk, bluegrass, traditional and country music and are enjoyed by all ages. Others find a home in the modern folk and folk-rock genres and speak directly to the challenges and celebrations of his generation. As a result, Jamieâs songbook is fresh, interesting, and diverse, yet accessible, relevant and familiar. His performances are often spiced with a few covers from some of his favorite and most influential artists, like Neil Young, Van Morrison, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, David Bromberg, Bob Dylan, and The Grateful Dead. Jamie released his debut CD âForever Greenâ in January 2006 and his second CD âHey Musicâ in September 2007.

Jamieâs debut CD, âForever Green,â is an organically-fresh, relaxing collection of Adirondack, mountain-folk songs. It celebrates the people, places and culture of the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, especially the northwest portion of the Adirondack Park (check out 'Wanakena,' the story of a 'tiny little town with a great big heart,' or the very popular 'Oswegatchie'). Forever Green was recorded and co-produced by Dan Duggan, who is one of several talented musicians featured on the CD. In fact, Dan plays six different instruments on this CD, including bass, guitar, piano, and hammered dulcimer! Add to the mix some solid guitar and banjo work by Jamie, fancy fiddle (Jeff Couture), a hint of concertina (Peggy Lynn), and some melodious flute (Sue Grimm). Top it off with some fun and meaningful lyrics and the warm, rich vocals of Jamie, Peggy Lynn and Angie Oliver and you've got a CD that you and your family may never tire of listening to.
