When you listen to Singer-Songwriter JOHN LEWIS on his debut CD "RHYTHMS OF THE RAINBOW" on MUSICAL THIRDS RECORDS(MTR3200) you'll move and groove to smooth arrangements by Producer/Bassist/Songwriter Ronald "BOZ" Bostick of P.J. Entertainment out of Brooklyn, New York along with John's lyrical and sexy vocals. All of the songs on this CD are Original and show a vast Cross-Over Appeal, ranging from Contemporary Jazz to Adult Contemporary to R&B. The song "AFTER DARK" (Track #13) is an "Unforgettable Favorite". John dedicated this CD to his wife, Sarah who passed away in 1997.

"RHYTHMS OF THE RAINBOW" has received airplay in the U.S.; Fairbanks, Alaska, Bridgeport, Connecticut, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Atlanta, Georgia. This CD also received airplay abroad in Brisbane, Australia.

This CD is also being downloaded all over the world.

John interviewed and performed on the "Voice of America" a broadcasting service of the United States Information Agency in Washington, D.C., hosted by Rita Rochelle. Other interviews include; Two Philadelphia radio stations; WDAS 105.3 FM, and Temple University's WRTI 90.1 FM.

A Philadelphia TV station WCAU Channel 10 (NBC), where they featured the song "After Dark" from the CD as background music for all interviewing vendors at the Unity Day Celebration.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, John's overwhelming musical drive stems from his late father, John W. Lewis Jr., a talented jazz musician who played piano and xylophone. Jazz would fill the air and John knew all the jazz standards at an early age. His late father mentored jazz pianist Horace Silver and bassist the late Keter Betts.

The family later relocated to Washington, D.C. While attending school in the District of Columbia, John was a part of the All-City Junior High School Choir and The D.C. Youth Chorale, under the direction of Edward Jackson. A Voice Major classically trained at the University of the District of Columbia and also performed with the Howard University Gospel Choir and recorded two albums:
"Take The Savior With You" and "Hymns For A Soulful People". Later, in 1979, John relocated to Brooklyn, New York and attended the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. He performed throughout the N.Y. area often performing with his late father and abroad in London, England.

John returns to the Metropolitan Washington Area, residing in Mount Rainier, Maryland. In addition, is a devoted member of the Union Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church in Washington, D.C. There he is involved in the Music Ministry.

John owns his own record label, Musical Thirds Records. He also has a music publishing company; Slamin' Jams Music, a BMI subsidiary, and a music production company; Third Perspective Ltd. III.

John belongs to the following organizations; American Federation of Musicians (AFM), Broadcast Music Inc.(BMI), and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA).

John also made his acting debut in playing a Security Guard in the movie entitled "UNBREAKABLE" starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.
