Jon Murphy grew up in Tucson, AZ. His musical influences include the many "desert rock" bands he saw locally as well as up the road in Phoenix. Jon attended the University of Arizona, where he minored in music. The program focused primarily on Classical genres; in fact, Jon supported himself by singing in the chorus for the Arizona Opera Company for a couple of seasons. Today, Jon lives in Northeast Florida and his musical style is a unique blend of intuitive songwriting and educated composition. He particularly enjoys writing bios about himself in the third person!
