Joshua Sun is powerful, energy-infused modern rock outfit that over the last few years has become one of southern Mississippi's most recognized independent artist thanks in part to their highly accessible songwriting, frequent media coverage, and large scale performances. They've on numerous occasions been featured on the ABC news affiliate WLOX and WXXV Fox as well as receive regular press coverage in several regional newspapers (Sun Herald, Mississippi Press, Coast Night Life, etc.). The group has also garnered the attention of a number of professional radio personalities and receives regular FM broadcast from a few radio stations ranging from Texas to Florida. As their unity, performance, and fan base steadily increases and with the debut of their first album out this June, only much more can be expected for this group in future.
The music of Joshua Sun is the product of five young men from completely different areas of the country who merged together in the Gulf Coast on a quest to be the best they could as songwriting musicians. Every song must be the perfected, every chorus must have a solid hook... and it shows!
For Joshua Sun, performances have always been a very rewarding experience. They've won several battle-of-the-bands type showcases and the group has been picked time and again over others to open up for numerous national acts and has played for crowds as large as eight thousand. They have also gained much support from their regional modern rock radio station's (WCPR 97.9 & TK101.5) DJs in not only receiving top notch gigs but also getting their songs played regularly. Some of the national bands that JoshuaSun has shared the stage with includes Saliva, Trapt, Theory of a Deadman, Foghat, Smile Empty Soul, Doubledrive, Atomship, Outspoken, and Slur.
