while growing up in los angeles, javier mosley focused on developing his skills as a composer, musician, and "technician of emotion". he is one of the creators of raprock and has contibuted to all types of musical projects, including everything from hiphop, r&b, garage bands, latin jazz and contemporary jazz ensembles. javier's commitiment and attention increased after graduation high school. he joined the progressive hiphop-rock band "proper grounds" as a guitarist/songwriter. the group became the first band inked to madonna's "maverick records", managed by guy oseary. "proper grounds" was influential to the musical stylings of such bands as limp bizkit, insane clown posse (icp), and korn.

after a moderate success with "proper grounds", javier sought to enhance his talents and natural abilities at cabrillo college in santa cruz, california. he studied jazz improvisation and classical music for guitar and cello under the supervision of the famed ray brown. he also played lead and rhythm guitar for the latin jazz ensemble. along with his love for hiphop, r&b, salsa and afro-cuban music, mosley has created compositions performed by his ensemble and by unsigned and signed artists.

having completed two years at cabrillo college, javier transferred to berklee college of music in boston, massachusetts. there he studied film scoring and advanced song composition. involved in many projects at berklee, javier attests that the highlight of his sojourn was writing jazz arrangements for lin biviano of the buddy rich and stan kenton orchestra's. his experience at berklee has given him the tools and knowledge for adapting music for all genres, be it lyrical or visual. javier mosley is a true "technician of emotion".
