Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Antoine Rhodes (a.k.a. Judah Man) saw everything there was to see as a young man. The outside world assumed that he would be another statistic that they could write in their books. By the time he was a young teen, he was already involved in one of Chicago's biggest street gangs, the gangster disciples and dealing drugs. In October 1994, four months after high school graduation, he was arrested and sent to Cook County Correctional Center. At the time, no one realized it, but this was a blessing in disguise.
Shortly after entering Cook County Jail, he was sent to solitary confinement for 29 days for contraband in a penal institutional. After only five days of being released from solitary confinement, he was sent back for an additional 29 days for fighting the correctional officers. These 58 days would change his life forever. While in solitary, the Spirit of the Lord challenged him to choose life or death. Judah began reading God's word and by the time he was released from solitary, change began to place.
Judah Man uses his gift to rap to reach today's youth. Since Judah Man was a victim of the same experiences and challenges that the youth face today, he can relate the Word on a level that they understand. Doors are continually opening for JudahMan and he has had the opportunity to travel all over the country to spread the Word. In addition to Chicago, he has also performed in Milwaukee, Atlanta, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and Tampa, to name a few. He has shared the same stage with artists such as Mary Mary, L.G. Wise, Delirious, Vicky Yohe, Canton Jones, Mr. Del, FTF, Euclid Grey, Mr. G Reality, Damon Lamar, and BB-Jay to name a few. Look for albums Plenty Past Time and his new release coming soon entitled "Time Running Out" in stores near you.
