Details:
Julie M. Poole, soprano, has been performing throughout the New England area since making Connecticut her home in 1988. As a concert performer, she has given numerous solo recitals in various churches and concert halls. As a guest artist, she has appeared with The Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra, and the Holyoke Civic Symphony, to name a few. Her orchestral repertoire includes works of Beethoven (Ah! Perfido) Barber (Knoxville, Summer of 1915) and Mozart (Susanna, The Marriage of Figaro).

On stage, Julie has made a name for herself as a Gilbert and Sullivan specialist and has performed nine of the thirteen soprano roles in the repertoire. Other musical credits include, The Merry Widow, Of Thee I sing, and Oklahoma!

This is Julie's first CD.

From CD Liner Notes:

"What do I sing?" It was a beautiful August morning in Enfield, NH, and I was walking in the woods with my friend Ron. We were talking about my first CD and I was struggling to decide what to record.

"Sing what you know," Ron said. "The first CD is about introducing yourself to the world. The next CD can be about great song cycles and arias. But the first one should be about you."

Sing what you know - in your heart and in your soul. Folk tunes and hymns are born there, live there and here, are sung with everything I have to offer.
