Jude Nemo is a Boston area singer/songwriter who draws on influences from jazz, folk, rock and electronica. Jude has frequented such venues as Harpers Ferry, Northeastern University and The Paradise Lounge, and has performed live on the New England Institute of Art radio, as well as BATV's Root's Rock Live, a weekly program showcasing Boston's best roots musicians through informal interviews and performances.
From 1998-2002, Jude was the singer/lead guitarist for Amherst's Traveling Matt, with whom he toured from Boston to NYC. During that time, he shared the stage with acts such as: The Mudhens, Seeking Homer, Percy Hill, Naughty By Nature, Spookie Daly Pride, and Marah. Now a solo artist, Jude stands at the edge of a genre, combining the roots and depth of jazz with the ambience and atmosphere of electronica through his unique blend of modern, acoustic songwriting.
Jude's independent debut solo release. "Jedi in Jeans", contains twelve tracks of vocals and acoustic guitar, as well as beatbox, bass and percussion. The album, designed to showcase Jude's songwriting skills was released on September 30th 2004 to rave reviews and hungry fans. During the fall of 04, Jude will be recording a demo with his new band "Schwenk", as he continues to gig the colleges, clubs and prep schools of the Northeast.
