Julie creates songs combining simple & evocative melodies with intriguing lyrics that draw
on personal experiences and past relationships. Her gentle vocals are complimented by a musical style that is
cultivated from a variety of genre, which makes her a distinctive and enchanting performer.
From a young age Julie surrounded herself with music, listening to her parents Melanie, Joni & Beatles LP's. She grew up admiring musicians who did more than just sing in studios and look pretty on the cover of magazines. Picking up her first acoustic guitar at the age of 12 she began to write and play her own songs and develop her knowledge and passion for the guitar.
Always keen to get out and play as much as possible, Julie spent a few years playing & co-writing songs with the bands Selina Kyle and The Fereday's. More recently a collaboration with established musician, producer and DJ Rob Webster on the Ambient Souls 'chill out' project not only allowed Julie the opportunity to explore her talents within a new genre, it also proved her vocal talent compliments many musical styles.
Julie has found her passion lies in performing live. She has received glowing responses to every performance and since her recent gig at London's Acoustic Lounge she is fast gaining a diverse and fervent following.
Julie is currently in the studio with variety of guest musicians working on her new album.
