Julie was born and raised in California.

Since kindergarten, her education included lessons in various areas of music, including voice. She made her singing debut at age five, when someone picked her up, stood her on the stage at church and said, "sing!"


At 16, Julie competed in a state-wide talent competition sponsored by the Bank of America. The song she sang won her first place, which was a scholarship to study voice in a major music conservatory in Paris, France.

Still very young, she married a Spanish man and went to live in Venezuela. She remained in South America for twenty-seven years, during which time she raised seven children, studied and performed. Not only did her time in South America give her the opportunity to learn Spanish, (which she speaks fluently), it also allowed her the opportunity to share her love of music with the Venezuelan people. They embraced her talant with affection and enthusiasm, repaying her with encouragement and praise. But they lavished her with something even more significant . . . a love for the romantic lyrics and rhythmic melodies of the South American countries. Audiences always respond enthusiastically when Julie performes Spanish music.

Julie is back in the USA, recording and performing on the stages of places such as Florida, Hawaii and Nevada.
