Julie is received very well overseas as well in the United States. She is inspired by great songwriters like Becky Hobbs ("Angels Among Us") and the all time great Loretta Lynn. They have influenced her in her songwriting. Julie has had the opportunity to open for Becky Hobbs twice and hopes in the near future to do the same with Loretta.

Before moving to Nashville, Tennessee she was born in southern New Jersey but country was what she grew up listening to as her father was raised in Eastern Tennessee. She had her own band for 7 years before moving. After spending some time listening in the background, Julie is now a welcomed addition to any songwriter's night in Nashville and has developed a following for her appearances.

She is a down-to-earth girl with a down-home feel to her music. She is a people person and always keeps in touch with her fans. Julie has also has a soft spot for children in need and has performed for various organizations to help raise money for needy children or children with life-threatening illnesses.
