Light My Soul, Juna Knight's debut CD delivers an eclectic mix of original tunes; from upbeat alternative rock and reggae to contemplative ballads and even ventures into latin rumba. The album features 10 songs all written by Juna Knight with the exception of one written by Marcus Gerakos who produced all the music.
Juna's songs are soulful and personally transparent sketches of friendship, love, and the challenges and struggles of everyday life. Some songs have a spiritual dimension evoking conversations with God. Her music appeals to pop music lovers of all ages.
Juna insisted on writing her own lyrics since she was three years old. Having taken piano lessons beginning at age four, she taught herself to play the guitar by the time she was twelve. Juna was composing her own songs at 13.
In Jr. High and through High School, Juna played electric guitar and sang lead vocals in the Youth Worship Band at Mosaic a Church in L.A. During this time she formed the Eclectics and performed at High Schools, Colleges, and youth events throughout the L.A. area.
Having completed Light My Soul, Juna has been performing and promoting her CD.
