Since forming in 2001, Junk Ditch Road continues growing a faithful following resulting from successful shows in the Phoenix metro area and a quick tour to Iowa in the summer of 2003. JDR's sound is an indefinable mix of rock, blues, bluegrass, reggae and country.
Junk Ditch Road enjoys playing an improvisational, anything goes, performance that allows each member to showcase their individual strengths and influences while maintaining a blend of acoustic and electric styles that makes up the unique Junk Ditch Road sound.
JDR's debut CD features guitar, mandolin, banjo, and upright bass with many different feels. Listeners have compared JDR to Neil Young, Jimmy Buffet, Dave Matthews, but many of the songs on the album are in a class by themselves. If you like to listen to a number of styles (i.e. blues, southern rock, folk, mainstream acoustic rock, and bluegrass) you will not be disappointed!
