Details:
I am very inspired by my late Uncle Tom's song writing. I grew up singing with and around him and listening to his voice along with my dad's. I come from a family of many old Vaudeville Hams, so people were always singing and turning cart wheels down the hall. Christmas caroling was an all year round thing for us. Tom wrote a Christmas carol in the early 70's called, "What Does Christmas Mean to You?" My family still sings this song every Christmas in a cold white candlelit church in New Hampshire. I was so amazed that I could know someone who actually wrote carols, that I began writing for the season myself, in the early 80's.

I love traditional carols and I still sing them. But I was yearning for some new ways to express the new kind of love I felt for this legendary holiday. With delight, I found that many other folks were looking for new carols too. And now, since the birth of "Wishing You Peace," many choruses have performed these carols at holiday time.

The style in which my carols are recorded is very reminiscent of the way traditional carols sound. There are vocal choruses, flutes, whistles, violins, drums, guitars, dulcimers, and many bells. Themes range from sacred to snowflakes. The "new" is meant to sound "old" and familiar. Wonderful area musicians contribute to this familiar sounding collection of new tunes. They are: Kent Allyn, Paul Ostermayer, Steve Schuch, Gwen Dunn, and the Lowe Profiles (my sisters).
