ARTIST BIO:
Singer/Songwriter, Keith Roberts, is an acoustic rocker who has been compared to the likes of Eli, Mac Powell, Jeremy Camp, and John Mayer. His infectious melodies and compelling lyrics demand a closer listen. Keith has shared the stage with a variety of artists from Eli to Sonicflood. After a turbulent couple of years since his debut release "Deeper" (Pilgrim Records) in 2003, a humbled and inspired Keith returns to the music scene with his sophomore release "This Time Around" (Restored Records) scheduled for January 2006.

"The Short Version"
Keith began his career as a singer/songwriter after an injury in college ended his hopes of playing professional football. He found comfort in writing and playing and soon learned that he was being called for a higher purpose.

"Its funny for me to think about it" says Keith, "it was God asking me to serve him through music and I was telling Him 'no I'm not good enough'. God was saying I know but do it anyway. That's when I learned that it's not about me, it's about Jesus and all I have to do is be faithful to him."

Keith released "Run" in 2001 with friend and writing partner Brant Christopher. After a few months of touring, their group, Chasing Seven, was forced to disband. An unexpected move by some members, ended what was one of the most promising acoustic groups in recent history. Keith kept on writing with the hopes of a solo project.

In 2003 Keith released "Deeper" (Pilgrim) as his solo debut. Keith was invited to many churches, youth groups, and coffee houses around the country. Although this was an exciting time for him, Keith was dealing with the pains of a broken relationship. He had to stop touring after depression left him ineffective in his ministry.

"I felt like I really had to find myself again. I went through a time where I lost focus on what my ministry was about. It was a time where God was calling me to be a stronger man for Him. I needed that one on one time with Him. My family and a few close friends really lifted me up. Restoration followed as it always does with our Lord."

Keith landed odd jobs around town but was not satisfied with where his life was going. He constantly felt the tug to return to music but he hesitated to take the step. He soon learned that Gods faithfulness extended well beyond his dreams.

"I knew God was calling me back, again and again but I was still fearful to make the move. God was gonna have to show up big ...and he did."

Keith was blessed with the financial support to start a small independent record label. He began the plans for the upcoming album immediately. With the help of Nashville producer Stephen Gause, (Derek Webb, Sandra McCraken) and writing partner Brant Christopher, Keith's sophomore album is expected to be all the remaking and restoring of this artist you would expect. His ministry is rededicated to loving and serving others. His focus is to spread the message of the unconditional love of Christ. Be on the look out for a tour date near you. You don't want to miss it "This time around"!
