The Matt Minglewood Band are a musical hybrid, a four-member band with one foot steeped in the musical roots of blues and country and the other knee-deep in rock. Mattâs influences and abilities are seemingly endless and his energy to share and perform is equally as deep; Matt has long been regarded as a musical shape-shifter. His songs are poignant observations of common life that echoes the truth of his life experiences and transfers to a variety of performance styles. Matt brings energy and enthusiasm to every performance. His diversity & broad audience appeal lends itself to solo, duet or with full band.
With his soothing blend of country, rock and blues his performances have rapidly become a fave on the Canadian circuit. The band are masters of improv and genre bending and their constant touring has earned them the well-deserved reputation of â down to earth bearers of good will and good timesâ.
Matt has released 12 recordings and has amassed numerous awards
& accolades along the way including:
· 2006 East Coast Music Award for Blues Recording of the Year âThe Storyâ
