The collective of Victoria musicians that call themselves KingBong have created a unique sound blending the best aspects of funk, ska, rock, and metal into a high energy original set with influences from Frank Zappa and Fishbone to Sublime, The Ramones and all that great 70's car chase music! Funky, witty, and political,the Bong show will shake your ass and make you think about the world around you. Well known on Vancouver Island for their social activism, KB has done countless shows in support of the legalization of medical marijuana, for poverty relief, and a number of other social justice issues, this band has something to say and theyare not afraid to say it.
Since 1999, various incarnations of the band have shared stages with Clinton Ferron, King Apparatus, The Scofflaws, Nazareth, Pressure Cooker, Chris Murray, The Planet Smashers, Easy Big Fella, Big D and Kids Table and many more!
