K.K. ELECTRONICS is an analog electronica project from Holland. K.K. ELECTRONICS debute cd "CARBON BASED MUSIC" was released in 2003 and was received enthousiastically both by the public and the critics. Recorded on vintage analog synthesisers such as Minimoog and ARP 2600 the album boasts a lot of original and experimental sounds yet it remains melodic and accessible. The music is intelligent and atmospheric. Influenced by Air, Portishead, later Radiohead albums, Chemical Brothers, Moby, Underworld and such. Dreamy athmospheres are followed by dancey tracks sometimes with 80's hints suddenly turning futuristic. Definitely a unique sound!!!
Now a second album is being recorded at K.K. ELECTRONICS's layer - again all analog. But this time it is going to be a conceptual album meaning that the whole album can be listened to as one piece. A lot of natural samples (sea sounds, traffic sounds etc.) are being used - so that music is embedded in the surrounding world. Release date of a new single will be announced soon.
