as the resin and wine stained walls fell in around what was a band, writer/vocalsit edward gorch drifted north to kingston, ny with a headful of songs.

in a renovated church, and on borrowed equipment, gorch completed the first knotworking album while including the talents of local muscians.

the self-titled work was released on one mad son records in february 2000 and received numerous positive reviews while appearing on the play lists of hundreds of college stations.

by september of 2000, gorch found himself living with guitarist michael hotter in albany, ny where they completed the second knotworking album "notes left out".

this album features performances by a haggard cast of albany musicians enlisted from local acts including: the orange, kamikaze hearts, john brodeur, north again, and stephen orsini.

knotworking can be found perfoming at venues throughout the northeast, and they are currently working on their third album.
