KONSPIRACY BIOGRAPHY
Konspiracy is a three member Hip Hop/Acid Rap group from southern California. The group was formed by Kris "Xplicit" Hillebrand and Joshua "Hipocritical" Dimas. The two created Konspiracy in the year 2000 after freestyling together frequently. They finally decided to lay down a recorded version of their work in Kris' home studio. They recorded a three song demo called, "Abstract". At the time the group had no name. Soon after recording the cd they took on individual names. Kris was known as, "Theory" and Josh was called, "Dj Dirty Dimas". Soon the name Konspiracy came up and fit right in place with the group. The subject matter and even sound they produced was a reflection of the name. Soon Kris would change his name to, "Xplicit". In 2001 Xplicit
and DJ Dirty Dimas went back into the studio. At the time the recording qualtiy was horrible as was the designs on the cd. However many people looked past that
and found good music with the potential to be great. With the confidence set by a small local fan base, Xplicit and Hipocritical came out with a 9 track EP called,
"The Original Fictional". It was a local success among friends and local kids on their block and school. Soon after the release of the EP Konspiracy was gettin
fairly well known around their blocks in Capo Beach and SJC. It didn't take long for them to aquire bad reputations with local gangs and Hip Hop groups. Soon
they found themselves fighting for respect in their citys and forming their own gang full of kids from the same block and area. The group they formed together called
themselves, "OC Souljas" which Konspiracy would rap about and make references to quite frequently in later songs. The crew was small, but enough to move on
and keep recording. While prepairing for their second EP release called "Criminal Instinct" Xplicit and Dj Dirty Dimas where both arrested for breaking and
entering, vandalization, petty theft and posession of narcotics. It would be almost six months before the two would be able to get back together to make music.
When the chance finally arrived to release the long awaited album they jumped on the opportunity. It took only two weeks of recording to release Criminal Instinct
which was a much greater success in southern california then their previouse release. It was around this time that Dj Dirty Dimas began participating more in rapping
that scratching on turn tables. He then changed his name to Hipocritical. Soon the group was being asked for concert dates and started playing local shows at
bars, restaurants and numberouse house partys. It was around this time that Xplicit was introduced to another local rapper who went by the name of, "Cut Throat".
The two constantly freestyled together which ended up making Cut Throat the third member of Konspiracy. However after a show one night Xplicit and Cut Throat
got into a disagreement afterwards and would part ways. Soon after this the group started collaberating with another rapper named, Keefe. He would introduce
Konspiracy to a local rave Dj who's name was "Dj Manik". They released one EP together titled "Dangerouse Lifestylez" which was one of the most successful
Konspiracy albums. Afterwards however, they would not make music together again. After releasing the Dangerouse Lifestylez EP the group was busy doing
promotions and concerts aswell as gettin much more recognition in the underground Hip Hop scene. Konspiracy had started building a professional home recording
studio. Also Xplicit had learned how to produce beats, record, and master tracks, this would be the turning point in their career. They started their own label that
they named "Abstract Recordz". Finally people could listen to a Konspiracy demo and enjoy the music with good production and recording quality unlike before.
Pretty soon they began working with other groups and solo artist from not only their area, but from northern California aswell. In 2003 Xplicit and Hipocritical
started working with other producers such as Dj Manik and Dyslexic for their first full length proffessional album release, "The American Nightmare". On this album
would also have tracks featuring artist from Sacramento such as "Grimm" on the song "West Coast Rydin". Near the end of this album Konspiracy started teaming
up with a rapper named "M.C.K" who they had been friends with for some time. The three rappers started righting music together almost everyday and seemed to
be on the same page as one another. Soon they had MCK join the group as the third and final rapper. In 2005 they released their first full length album, "The American Nightmare". The album was written by Konspiracy and produced, recorded, mastered, designed and manufactured by Xplicit. Guest producers such as Dj Manik and Dyslexic did a few tracks on the album also. Currently the Konspiracy is working on their second full length album "Uncivil Disobedience". Also Xplicit is near completion with his full length solo album titled, "Parental Advisory".
