Kori was born in Cedar City, Utah. She grew up in Minnesota listening to many varied artists ranging from Rock and Roll to Jazz. Her parents encouraged her interest by having her take piano lessons. The artists she listened to the most were: Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass Band, John Denver, The Doors, Genesis, Robert Plant, Simon and Garfunkel, KC and the Sunshine Band, Andy Gibb, Phil Collins.

She also listened to and played classical music artist compositions such as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Bizet, Chopin, Schumann, Debussy, and many others. She also listened to many of the artists her older siblings listened to like: Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Grateful Dead, Carly Simon. All varied genres..but all very interesting to her. In her teen years her musical creative side arose and took shape.

Kori's family moved to Texas in her teens and that is when her music began to get interesting. It was then she knew her style of songwriting was different than most of the genres out there.

Kori graduated from Berkner High School, Richardson, Texas and went on to a small college in Idaho to major in Music. While there, she composed over 20 - 30 musical songs. It was then Kori noticed a new type of music genre entering the musical world: New Age. The New artists being played that caught her interest were: George Winston, Shadowfax, Yanni, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream and many others.

Kori's musical influences reflect the eclectic nature of her own music: Yanni, George Winston, Shadowfax, Vangelis, Enya, Tangerine Dream, John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Eric Clapton, Marc Cohn.

Kori's new CD "The Road Less Traveled" is about all the experiences in her life so far.

Currently, Kori resides in California with her husband and children.
