Details:
Beginning in May 1997, an idea was created to produce a band that would define Rock n' Roll in a more unique way. Incorporating country & folk guitar styles, mixed with pop-oriented melodies, Kampfire Kowboys leads the way.

Tom Colton from St. Charles, Illinois has been recording at Short Order Recorder in Zion, Illinois to complete a 15 track CD entitled "somewhere blue," engineered by Jeff Murphy (Shoes, Material Issue, Local H, The Critics)and CD Mastered by Jeff Luiz(Janet Jackson, John Secata, Enuff's Enuff).

This hard-core western group has the ability to lift you off your feet and sing along to melodies like "Arizona Emily" or "You Waited Too Long to Reply." Other songs such as "Waygone Daddy," a roaring rock instrumental ho-down, will keep audiences howling for more!!!

Their debut CD "somewhere blue" received rave reviews with great songs that are radio ready and their new CD, scheduled to be released by Winter 2000, is expected to do the same.

The Kane County Chronicle says "Round up your friends and go see Kampfire Kowboys, you'd be krazy not to!" and, The Pioneer Press says "Kampfire Kowboys kick career into high gear. Its energetic upbeat country and folk influenced rock n' roll makes Kampfire Kowboys the best new band in the area. Period!!" The Daily Herald says: "Give it a whirl."
