Details:
Boston-based Hip-Hop Group Kreators is celebrating the release of their new album, Live Coverage, with an urban style that's nothing less than cutting edge. Group members, G Squared and Jaysaun, along with crew members, XL and Big Juan, are also basking in the Hip-Hop limelight with their new single, "Smashed Up" b/w "Live Coverage", released by their new label, RAF. In stores now, Smashed Up and Live Coverage combine the innovative tracks of DJ Revolution and the unforgettable rhymes of each of the group members, with special guests Krumbsnatcha and Rob Jackson on Live Coverage.

Kreators, formed in Boston 1997, have been praised nationally by Spin.com and MTV for their heart-stopping sound and influential lyrics. Their last single, "Home", blended vocals from EDO G, Guru from the renowned group Gangstarr, and Krumbsnatcha over a G Squared produced beat. This 12" single, which sold over 5,000 units in the first two weeks, made it to number 2 on the HITS Rap Attack chart, beating out competition such as Tha Liks, Eve, Jadakiss, and Camp Lo. Their debut album, No Contest, garnered a 3 1/2 star rating on the Source.com's website. Their first video, Foreign Lands, was given a 4 mic rating and was chosen as the best underground video for 1999 by MTV's Flying Indie program that aired after the 1999 MTV Music Awards. They are a frequent staple of the Boston Hip-Hop scene, have made the cover of Northeast Performer, been the feature of several music television interview shows, and have just returned from an International Tour with Boston posse members EDO G and Krumbsnatcha. Kreators also boast 3 consecutive nominations for Hip Hop Group of the Year at the prestigious Boston Music Awards, where G Squared was also a presenter this year. In addition, they have performed nationally as the opening act for Hip Hop and Rap icons Nas, Snoop Dog, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, the Wu Tang Clan, and a host of others. Their most recent show was televised during the Thunderbox pay-per-view event on December 1st.

The group first broke ground with their critacally aclaimed EP, Lost Page, which was followed up by their first full length CD, No Contest, bringing them the immediate attention of network executives at MTV. With the success of Home, Kreators were easily able to sell 3,000 copies of the Night Life 12" within the first week of sale. Kreators are well known across the globe, have been mentioned on Hip Hop sites all over the web, are featured on Amazon.com and have driven over 70,000 hits to their website since November 1st.

Special guests on "Live Coverage" include GURU, DJ Revolution, Arabian Night, Pete Rock, Cappadonna, Krumbsnatcha, Rob Jackson, and EDO G.

Kreators are thankful to their ever-growing fan base who have been an integral part of their evolution. With the new single going for charts this week, Kreators' popularity is sure to grow as the group nurtures their rising star.
