THE STORY

This album follows the chronicles of K.R.O. and the House Band in the year 2006, as part of the highly successful "Pimps in Space: The Animated Series", described by critics as "part Fat Albert, part Josie and the Pussycats, and part that funk that makes me wanna slap my momma".

To review, after the anti-pimpfunk hearings have exiled K.R.O. and the House Band aboard a television satellite (hey, at least they get all the cartoons they want), they travel through the galaxy, spreading their message of funk and grooved booties. The episode we follow is the classic "Space Emperor Quig's Gig Request", a long time favorite of fans of the Pimps in Space cartoon. This episode recently placed Number 12 on TV guide's 'Greatest Cartoons of All time", when they ranked them in 2007.

THE FUNK

The band draws inspiration from previous albums and the "pimpfunk" sound, but takes it even further here. It combines the band's most spaced-out, funkified tracks to date with a wider array of vocals and interludes that carry the recurring cartoon theme. Of particular note are the tracks "Space Invaders" and "Pimpsmack", long-time live show staples.
