1 MP3 Songs
SPOKEN WORD: With Music, JAZZ: Acid Jazz
Details:
Tock Tick is a dreamy, rhythmic track created by Simon Heselev, with excerpts of a reading by Kurt Vonnegut from his novel Slaughterhouse Five woven into the composition.
Not only does the song capture the essence of Slaughterhouse Five, but it is also a timely statement and reflection on the futility of war. In the excerpt, Billy Pilgrim (the protagonist in the novel), having "come unstuck in time", witnesses a war movie.... backwards. In this distorted view, the senseless destruction of war is transformed into what appears to be organized, beautiful creation.
The artwork on the front of the CD is a Kurt Vonnegut original, entitled "Astronomy".
