The Cd The Kathryn Caine Band was recorded two years after her first release Whiteville. Having left NC for VA, Kathryn hooked up with some heavy hitters from well known Va bands. The genre remained country Americana,but with a more agressive edge. With a more mature songwriting style and a technically amazing band , the Cd again recieved critical acclaim and regional success. On the promotion for this tour, She opened for acts like Marc Chestnutt, G-Love and Special Sauce, Drivin'n Cryin, Chet Atkins and the Flat Duo Jets.
With songs that explore loss and moving on, Lean, Down The Line, and Ashes, to heartbreaker Bill's song, to the kiss off refrains of Watch Your Step and Hittin the Road to the dark, haunting outlaw song Stone , to the perfect universal pop song 20 Years, to a fresh take on Country, Country Song.This again is Kathryn Caine at her best, A rebel, a loner and that VOICE.She can go from pure high and lonesone to gutteral gritty soul in the blink of and eye.This is a Cd for everyone that loves music period, ANY kind of music.Each song deals with universal themes of love, loss, moving on and hope.She also sings about where she comes from,(Bill's Song) HER point if view....When an artist remains true to who they are, there is no box to put them in and no demographic to fill ....It is music for ANYONE and EVERYONE. After this Cd , Kathryn took a break to care for her husband who was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour.Now that everyone is fine, Look for her new CD,Better which will be released in September!!!
