Alejo was breed and born in Eastern part of Nigeria, grew up in a very conservative family and environment. Later moved to burstling and hurtling city of Lagos in her early age.she realised her potentials and skills in art while still in school.

Early in the 70's Female musicians and actors did a lot but credits were not awarded,a lot of them were just history because of discrimination which by the way did not deter Alejo from pursuing her dream as an artiste.Today, she is an accomplished artiste. a singer, a dancer, a choreographer, an actress and a producer.

She appeared in her first stage play entitled Three Invisible,which landed her a leading role in Tales by Moonlight, a popular program that aired on the Nigerian Television Authority. She studied Contemporary and Traditional African dance at Ivory Dance Ambassadors, graduated with degree in Business Administration and diploma in Massage Therapy in USA.

She served as the Dance Director of Ivory dance troupe for five years, directing and producing shows for corporate entities; Guinness, Mobile, Chevron, Seven-Up Bottling Company, French Cultural Center and Goethe Institute.After a brief tour to Ghana, and Paris - World Cup '98 with the soccer team of Nigeria, AlejoBecky launched her singing career and founded her band, and together they played and toured.She migrated to USA in 2002 and have since released a new CD to her credit.
