Inspired by the story of The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, Code of the Goddess features songs that relate to the characters and storyline of the novel--songs include "Rose Line Canon", "Opus Dei" and "The Mystic and the Muse"--"Powers' Celtic-inspired sound

13 MP3 Songs
EASY LISTENING: Soft Rock, NEW AGE: Celtic New Age

Details:
Inspired by Dan Brown's novel, The Da Vinci Code, and its theme of the lost feminine, Laura selected a collection of favorite songs as well as incorporating new material to be a musical companion to the novel. This musical exploration of themes from the Da Vinci Code relate to the characters and storyline of the novel--for those who have read the novel Powers hopes the songs will add an additional dimension to the characters. Watch for the release of the major film directed by Ron Howard slated for May 2006.

Songs include "Rose Line Canon", "Opus Dei" and "The Mystic and the Muse." Of note, the song "Shine Love," dedicated to the novel's character Silas, has been used in an award-winning PBS television ad campaign.

FYI, Code of the Goddess is not authorized by Dan Brown or his publishers, though we'd like to take that call.

"Powers employs images of the divine feminine to guide listeners. Her Celtic-inspired sound is reminiscent of Loreena McKennitt and will appeal to die-hard New Agers as well as people plugged into current mainstream music. Code of the Goddess is an excellent choice!"-reviewer Mara Applebaum, New Age Retailer.
