Details:
The INJURED NINJA is in itself, an anomaly. The well-honed skills of any Ninja are calculated and precise, silent and deadly, these fit fighting warriors would never be disgraced by falling in the heat of battle. A Ninja knows victory or death â there is no compromise.

So one must ask, what cataclysm has befallen this one?

CICUITBOARD is the first official release of the somewhat mysterious Injured Ninja that has shown itself in many forms around the experimental music scene in Perth, Australia since early 2006, confusing and impressing many a viewer with their rotating members and wide variety of Experimental-Rock and Heavily Synthesized sounds.

Infamous for their improvised noise sets, after many different style changes (including dub and ambient incarnations) the band settled into its current 4-piece line-up in February 2008, disassembling and reconstructing their sound once again. Injured Ninja splices elements of noise, rock and dub / drum and bass into an explosive new entity that pulverizes the listener with bloodcurdling distortion before thick bass synth demands they approach the dance floor.

Injured Ninja entered Shogun Studios in May 2008, recording with engineer Trevor Cotton (Radarmaker), tracking the entire EP live in a few short hours. As the night crept in and sound limitations approached, Injured Ninja reconsidered their instruments and recorded hours of live ambient jams in the studio â during which the band destroyed a beloved keyboard, ripping it to pieces and re-wiring the circuits creating otherworldly sounds, an act befitting the EPâs title CIRCUITBOARD (named in honor of Ninja Jakeâs (Keys/Samples) beloved pet dog). The instrument in question can be heard screaming in twisted agony on the instrumental track: âMAN CAN.â

The Ninja bleeds in a paradox born between the organic free-flowing chaos of acoustic nature and the heavily programmed and structured cold digital realm.
