Details:
The KAL,the guitarist, who came under strong in the Beatles and hard rock and progressive rock or classical music influence, experienced his original Heavy Metal Band and Fusion Band, or instrumental Project of the sound like Kitaro in college student days.

After graduation from university of 1994,KAL dealt with composition by a solo works and pop music which made full use of overdub alone(not professional), and, besides, dealt with the sound recording engineer of the band of his friend.
So, his own band was not moving into action for a long time.

One day of 2004, KAL went to watch the band of the friend in a live house of Osaka.
Therefore he found a kindred spirit in KOZO of the keyboard player and mori-sensei of the drummer and did jam session with four people who added Yoko-P which is a base player with the activity experience as the professional(KAL'sã friend of college student days).

KAL,leaving the band activity for a long time,caught the stimulation in this jam session with 4 and made up my mind to form a new band of his own.
He wanted to play in a live house with four people than played in front of a display of a computer!

KAL was impressed with a style of KOZO which did a keyboard play to remind of Jan Hammer or Jens Johansson,and also impressed with a drum style of mori-sensei who took in the element of the Latin music.

KAL wanted to aim at the band which have both elements of melodic HR/HM of 80's and an element such as JazzRock/Fusion/CrossOver of 70's.

Therefore, KAL named this band "PLAYLAND" with all a meaning called "the place that play with the unique players through the music".

In addition, the band took up music of Jeff Beck,Deep Purple,Journey,Weather Report in the first session.
Those music still becomes the important roots of this band.

The band added the original songs(composed by KAL)immediately and performed the first live performance in September, 2004.

Then the band repeated a rehearsal to increase the repertories of the original songs about for half a year,and started recording.

However, a lot of troubles such as the injuries of the wrist of Yoko-P occurred.

At last all the recording work was finished in August, 2008.

This is the Instrumental Rock work which aimed at the fusion of Hard Rock and Jazz/Fusion and Progressive Rock.

In addition, PLAYLAND performed CD release memory live performance in September, 2008.
