This plays like a mix tape from an old friend. The album has a distinct feel as it jumps from the retro-funk opener (Reason), to Television and Replacements inspired pop songs (Leslie Says, Close My Eyes), to big guitar rock (Fire.)

"Long Road Home" and "Turn Away" are computer-based tracks, updated versions of low-register post punk hummers, and the take-it-or-leave-it "Not The Song" is an all-out sentimental, cry-in-your-beer alt-country ballad set to hip hop beats.

Larry is a singer/songwriter/guitarist who found making music an un-achievable goal in his earlier years, pulling himself together to make the music he feels he should have been doing all along.

"I started writing songs due to a lack of bands willing to have me as a member to do long, spontaneous leads copping Television licks," he says of his now-structured sound. "I had various but connected sounds I wanted to hear, so I started to write the kind of songs I wanted for that, and the reaction has been good to being the all around writer and vocalist."

"I'm not completely sure what specific woman or friend each song is about ---I think it's about someone, then listen and say, "hmm..or was I really thinking about X?"
