LathamII was born and raised in Dayton, He became interested in music as an infant as his mother laid him down and played classical music while he slept. From that point his life has been a musical adventure. Paul experienced a huge vocal adjustment when he was about 10 years of age going from a high tenor to becoming a pretty resonant baritone. LathamII is extremely thankful for the influences in his life such as his father who was his first vocal teacher and his mother his first piano teacher. As a member of the Central State University Chorus LathamII had the great opportunity of performing for wonderful people like Bill Cosby, Cab Calloway, Lou Rawls, Lou Gossett, Jr. 1st Lady Barbara Bush, Attalla Shabaz, as well as countless others. There have been other influences in LathamII life such as Nat King Cole, Commissioned, The Winnans, Donnie Hathaway, The Temptations, and Take 6 Mr. Robert Neal William Caldwell. Out of the all the artist who have been an influence the artist that has influenced him the most has been Paul Robeson.
