Individually, Michel Gentile and Tony Romano have performed throughout the world and recorded with a vast array of prominent artists, such as Jane Ira Bloom, Kurt Rosenwinkle, Randy Brecker, Dave Valentine, Stanley Jordan, Fred Hersh, and Harvie S, to name but a few. Together, they have developed a style of playing that is truly unique in its approach. This duo has dispensed with conventional roles in order to develop a musical experience rich with interaction and nuance. It creates an organic counterpoint of ideas and support while exploring Brazilian and Jazz repertoire, as well as original compositions. They were featured artists in the DâAddario sponsored âFall Festival of Guitarâ at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center (NY) along with Gene Bertoncini and Anton Del Forno, as well as Brooklyn Music Wide Open, sharing the bill with Dafnis Prieto and Daniel Kelly.
