Garrett Ramquist is a versatile and soulful singer/songwriter who holds a compellingly different perspective on music. At only 21 years of age, heâs already established quite a following through his insightful lyrics and powerful melodies. By dedicating himself to his singer/songwriter abilities, Garrett has taken major strides in his career. Backed by a talented group of young and enthusiastic players, the Garrett Ramquist Band has quickly put themselves on the path to fame. The groups rapid ascent can be attributed to a number of factors including Garrettâs charismatic stage presence, a red-hot live show and the debut EP âTwenty Thousand Dreams."

In his freshman year of high school in the small town of Waunakee, Wisconsin, Garrett picked up his first guitar and started writing almost immediately. It wasnât long until he had discovered his passion and talent for singing and writing. His musical style was shaped by a variety of influences including alternative sounds from the likes of the Goo Goo Dolls, Switchfoot, Lifehouse, Vertical Horizon, Chris Tomlin, Third Eye Blind, Dishwalla, Matchbox Twenty, Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Simple Plan and Chris Daughtry. He also credits the country sounds of Dierks Bentley and Kenny Chesney.

In the Winter of 2006, Garrett teamed up with producer Jake Johnson of Pardyme Productions in Madison, WI, to begin work on his first project. Upon its release in the Fall, the EP âTwenty Thousand Dreamsâ exploded Garrett onto the music scene, creating one exciting opportunity after the other. Emails and messages began to pour in from all over the world. All of them thanking Garrett for his music and asking for MORE!!!! With this in mind, the idea of a full length album and getting out and playing in front of his fans became his top two priorities.

These days, Garrettâs sights are tightly focused on exposing his music and ability to the world. His original works have reached out and captured the hearts of many, including the powerful and evocative lyrics of âTwenty Thousand Dreams,â and "Storm,â both of which eloquently explore the emotions felt when love is ending. Ramquist showcases a song writing ability far beyond his years in the introspective âYou Were the One,â and captures the raw emotion and vulnerability of true commitment in the ballad âTogether for Eternity." Back in the studio, Garrett is looking to release more songs heâs already performing live, including up-tempo crowd favorites such as âKaylee," and âA Song that Sounds Like You.â

Garrettâs music explores a broad range of honest emotion, taking the listener back to those times of happiness, heartbreak and hope. He prides himself on his fan interaction and touching the hearts of his audience, which he easily does with his sincerely portrayed work. His songs artfully convey the proverbial "dues" that each person inevitably pays in life, and connect him well with his listener. It is this ability to relate to his fans, combined with his sound, writing and dedication to interact, that insures Garrett Ramquist will no doubt look forward to a lengthy and successful career.
