Without lyrics, the purpose of music is to either provide soundtrack for the blank canvas of silence or to drown out other noises in order to achieve an illusion of silence. Stillness and silence are where clarity and truth become evidence that something greater is going on in a grand scale.
It is our goal to make music with meaning that goes beyond words. Sometimes this is accomplished by providing the listener with a conscious focus outside the usual realm of words or white noise speaking to the subconscious in the midst of busyness. Our hope is that the effect would be an atmosphere where heart rates and breathing is slower; clarity of thought and maybe the day would seem to hold just a little bit more significance.
When these songs came to us and we fleshed them out there was an experience or a mood that we felt from creating them and it has always been our aim to extend the same feeling to the listener.

By beginning with a chord progression or thread of melody, these songs progressed into arrangements
with song structure, layers of instrument and rhythm, and hopefully a musical quality that uplifts and
is interesting and enjoyable to listen to and hear over and over again.
