"Lee and Joann Murdock have updated their popular 1989 collection of Great Lakes music with its accompanying study guide, to produce "Lake Rhymes." The new combination of book and CD gives meaning and substance to colorful Great Lakes songs that have entertained us for years. Their book goes beneath the melodies and the lyric poetry to explore the traditions and contexts out of which their wonderful music was born, and it literally brings to life the rich messages of their songs. "Lake Rhymes" will be a great discovery ofr parents, teachers, historians, and lovers of the Lakes."
