Lem comes from the westbank of New Orleans so he combined his gospel and jazz roots with an r&b flavor fused with hip-hop to create his own unique sound.
Lem grew up on the westbank of New Orleans in a small city called Westwego. Where he began singing at the tender age of nine at the Third Emmanuel Baptist Church of Bridge City. He worked on his craft for many years there while at the same singing in many other groups. Groups like Smooth Material, Another Level, and Destyn. He also sung in a touring choir called the Raymond Anthony Myles Singers where he gained valueable experience about the industy. Later joining the army where he continued to perfect his craft performing on U.S.O. shows. Lem has also performed on with many established artist like Brian McKnight, 98 degrees, James Brown, and Renaldo Ray.
