A hard working roots-rock band based in Toms River, NJ.
Their highly successful debut EP "Eight Feet & Rising" opened the door for such accolades as "Best Unsigned Band" at WRAT 95.9 FM's battle of the bands contest in 1998 beating out over 100 contests.
The band has received several Asbury Park Music Awards nominations including "Best Roots Rock Band", "Best Song" - "The One" and "Best Local Release".
They have opened for the likes of PHISH, The Marshall Tucker Band, From Good Homes and Agents of Good Roots. Traveling as far north as Maine to as far south as Macon, Georgia where they recorded with legendary producer Paul Hornsby.
The long awaited new CD "Good Day" is available now and features 8 new lemongrass originals including the title track, "Listen To The People" and "Spirit Ride".
The Grass will be touring the north east and part of the south in support of their new disc for the rest of 2000.
