Hot Rod Lincoln has been voted âBest Roots Rock and Roll Bandâ at the San Diego Music Awards five times in a row. They have released five original CDâs in the U.S. and overseas. Their 1998 release titled âBlue Caféâ won âBest Local Recordingâ at the San Diego Music Awards in 1997. Brian Setzer, of the Stray Cats and currently with the Brian Setzer Orchestra wrote the title track for the âBlue Caféâ album. Their 2006 release titled, âRunaway Girlâ, was nominated for âBest Americana Albumâ at the San Diego Music Awards 2007.

Buzz Campbell, founder of HRL, was the lead guitarist from 2002-2005 for Sha-na-na; the group that performed at Woodstock in 1969, had their own TV series from 1975 to 1981, and was featured in the cult classic movie, âGreaseâ. Buzz Campbell is currently the lead guitarist for Lee Rocker, bass player of the Stray Cats and played on the Lee Rocker bandâs CD release titled, âRacinâ the Devilâ He is also on âBlack Cat Boneâ, Leeâs latest release. Buzz wrote âBlueâ, sung by singing legend Pat Boone, on Shananaâs latest CD titled, âOne More Saturday Nightâ along with âI Wanna Rock and Roll for Xmasâ on their Christmas CD released in 2005.

Hot Rod Lincoln is currently on their largest tour yet as the support act for the Stray Cats Farwell Europe Tour this August 2008. They will be performing for sellout crowds of 5000-8000 in Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Amsterdam, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark. By the end of this tour, the band will have been seen and heard by over 100,000 people.
