Since 1994, Omun has quietly swam in and out of the D.C. area music scene.In 1995, Omun along with childhoood friends and band mates formed "Tha Remainz"(Mr. Who,Eye-Q,Y.U.,Erk,J-Hunter,and Sammie Day).After 6 years of home base recording and many local performances, they released their first album,"Tha Remainz Return to The Soul School". You can also check out UrbanAve31 Vol1&2 (many tracks include Tha Remainz and Raheem Devaughn) In 2002, Omun would team up with producer Frank Diggs(Crown City Records/Labor Department) and begin recording many songs together. Omun regularly featured on Diggs projects including "The Balance,Summer Soul Cookout,Hispanic Shaft, and 2009 release Concrete Jungle. Musically, Omun blends classic throwback and storytelling lyrics with Neo-Soulful/Classic 70'style vocals. His debute solo album "Son of Blue Collar Soul displays this unique combination and paints a picture of life and struggles of the blue collar people. Influeces include everyone from Donny Hathaway,Krs One,Redman,Common,Rakim,Nas,Laryn Hill,Dungeon Family,Scareface,Nwa,Stevie Wonder,Main Ingrediant,Chaka Khan,Richard Pryor,Teena Marie,and many many others.
