With her sultry and compelling voice, Lijie's music is both powerful yet delicate at the edges. She incorporates both guitar and keyboard into her live performances. Living in Los Angeles for two years allowed her the chance to write and lay down the songs for her first album, titled Roam.

Lijie ("Lee-Jay") was born in China and moved to the US at the age of five. She spent most of her childhood years in Olympia, WA, and was classically trained on the piano from age eight. Listening to the pop/rock sounds of Elton John, Journey and Sarah Mclachlan formed the foundation for Lijie's songwriting skills.

"People often ask me to whom I would compare my music with and it's difficult to say. My influences range from Fleetwood Mac and The Police, to Coldplay and Sheryl Crow." Lijie's songs strongly reflect her ear for acoustic and pop/rock music, her lyrics both poetic and honest.

Lijie has played at various venues and colleges throughout the west coast. Through her writing, she hopes to communicate her ideas on life and love so others may find comfort from her artistic expression.
